About the Split Marathon

The Split Marathon offers a unique running experience through the natural beauty and rich cultural heritage of the region. The course, certified by AIMS, connects two ancient cities: Split and Solin (ancient Salona), and includes a green oasis – Marjan Hill and the picturesque source of the Jadro River. A special attraction of this trail is passing through the Hajduk football club stadium, which all football fans look forward to.

The race starts on the West Coast and finishes on the Split Riva, right next to the palace of Emperor Diocletian, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The course features 12 refreshment stations and time measurement at 10 places with live tracking of each runner’s passage. Each participant who completes the race will receive a participation medal as well as rich refreshments at the finish line.

The marathon is part of a larger event that includes other races such as the Split Half Marathon, Mazda 10k race, and 5 km Split race. The event is well-organized and offers a scenic and challenging course that showcases the historic landmarks and coastal paths of Split, making it a memorable experience for runners.
